The 2011 Red Sox Might Be 20-11

I know this sounds a little crazy, but I think that the Red Sox will be 20-11 or 20-12 very soon. The Red Sox have an off day, but tommorow, they face the O’s in a three game series. The Orioles have been struggling and are in last place. Clay Buchholz will face the O’s rookie, Zach Britton. In his last two starts, Britton has a towering 6.00 ERA. Buchholz hasn’t struke out more than 3 batters in a single game, but strikeouts aren’t the only way to get out in a ball game. In the next game, the superstar, Josh Beckett, will pitch against Jeremy Guthrie. Guthrie is 1-3 with a 3.12 ERA. In his career, Guthrie is 1-7 against the Red Sox with a 4.94 ERA. In the final game of that series, Jon Lester will pitch against Brad Bergesen, who has a 5.40 ERA. Lester is undefeated against the O’s and is 13-0 against them. After the series, the Red Sox return to Fenway Park to host the Mariners of all teams to 3 games. After the Mariners, the Red Sox host the Angels to 4 games. So far, the Red Sox are 4-0 against the Angels. Josh Beckett was the only pitcher to give up a run against the Angels (8 IP, 2 ER) and the Red Sox’s offense have been destroying the Halos. Then, the Red Sox host the Twins to a three game series. Lately, the Twins have been struggling and playing under expectations. They are 9-12 and at the time of writing, have scored under 100 runs and allowed over 80 runs. Joe Mauer, the Twins amazing catcher is on the 15 day DL. At the time of writing, Justin Morneau is day-to-day with the flu. I highly doubt that Morneau will miss a game in the series due to his flu. So, if the Red Sox sweep the O’s, Mariners, and Angels (ok teams), the Red Sox are 20-11. If they lose a game in the process, they can beat the Twins and become 20-12. This is the logic that I believe in. The Red Sox will either be 20-11 or 20-12. The Red Sox have comeback, and they don’t intend on losing a game for a while.
